WoW Forever · Warrior melee damage
Arms Warrior
Arms builds pressure around a weapon, Rage and reactive opportunities. Rend gives a bleed setup, while Overpower has its own availability condition. A two-handed route can feel clear for solo play, but it still needs a plan for weapon training, missed attacks and an unexpected second enemy.
Current beta play is capped at level 30. Level 60 reference models and deeper talents are identified as later planning. Client descriptions and server updates can differ.
In this guide
What this build asks you to do
Bloodthrill can make Overpower available after main-hand attacks against a target affected by your Rend. That is distinct from the ordinary dodge-based opportunity, so watch which event actually enabled it. Sweeping Strikes changes nearby-target damage decisions. Later Mortal Strike is a deeper talent; the early route does not possess every attack shown in a level 60 reference.
- A weapon-and-bleed setup can create deliberate reactive attacks.
- Rage and conditional availability can interrupt a planned sequence; nearby damage can disrupt control.

Choose the next action
- Choose a useful weapon and start a pull you can control. Build Rage through actual contact rather than assuming every swing hits or creates the same opportunity.
- Use Rend when its bleed and learned Bloodthrill interaction can matter. A target nearly dead may not repay a fresh full periodic setup.
- Watch Overpower’s actual availability. The ordinary dodge opportunity and the Bloodthrill main-hand event against your Rend target are different triggers.
- Use Sweeping Strikes only when the nearby targets belong in the pull. At ordinary level 30, buying both it and Bloodthrill needs more than the available first row-five purchase.
- Later Mortal Strike and Execute belong to their learned conditions. A future execute phase is not a proc chance or a button available at every enemy health value.

Rend can enable a distinct Overpower opportunity
Click through an illustrative sequence. Conditional effects require the named spells and talents; this is not a damage, resource, threat or timing simulation.
- Apply Rend: Use the learned bleed on the enemy; Bloodthrill requires this target condition.
- A main-hand event qualifies: With Bloodthrill learned, this conditional example prepares an Overpower opportunity.
- Use Overpower: Use the learned reactive attack while that opportunity is available.
- Choose the next Rage spend: Rend’s remaining duration and your available Rage guide the next decision; the trigger was not every swing.

Build the toolkit
Keep weapon skill and the actual attacks trained; a shield/Revenge option needs its stance and defensive event. Bloodthrill and Sweeping Strikes are alternative current row choices, while Mortal Strike’s deep package is later planning.

| 4 | Check Rend in the early spellbook. | Current beta |

Understand the upgrade
Baseline +7 Strength gives +14 melee AP, or +1 nominal ordinary weapon DPS on the client display before modifiers and mitigation.
Compare the actual weapon and attack rules; a slower swing is not automatically a larger gain for every special.
These examples isolate attribute relationships. They are not a prediction of full ability DPS, threat, pet damage or survivability.
| Comparison | Meaning |
|---|---|
| +7 Strength | +14 baseline melee AP before modifiers. Using the declared ordinary weapon-tooltip model, that is +1 nominal weapon DPS. |
| A 3.5-second ordinary swing | That AP contribution adds +3.5 nominal damage per swing before hit outcomes, mitigation and other effects. |
| +10 Agility | About +0.962 percentage points of weapon crit at level 30; it is not a fixed conversion at every level. |

Questing and group play
For solo play, a useful weapon, manageable target and recovery plan can matter more than adding another nominal damage button. In a group, keep an interrupt and a shield option when the situation requires it; a two-handed damage plan does not make an unsafe target switch harmless. Use the explicit Arms solo route as a starting recommendation.

Choose useful equipment
Compare weapon damage and speed alongside Strength, useful crit and enough health to survive missed contact. A nominal +1 ordinary weapon DPS from +14 AP is not a complete prediction for Mortal Strike, bleeding, execute damage or the whole encounter.
