WoW Forever · Warrior melee damage
Fury Warrior
Fury explores sustained weapon contact and attack-speed windows. Dual wielding gives separate main-hand and off-hand outcomes; an off-hand miss is not a successful damage event just because the main hand connected. Keep enough Rage for the action you expect to use next rather than treating every swing as an identical contribution.
Current beta play is capped at level 30. Level 60 reference models and deeper talents are identified as later planning. Client descriptions and server updates can differ.
In this guide
What this build asks you to do
Flurry follows a melee critical strike and affects following swings. Death Wish is a different choice: increased damage comes with increased damage taken. Deeper Bloodthirst has an attack-power-based design, so it should not be judged as merely another fixed percentage of a slow weapon’s hit. The October update also removes the old Heroic Strike queue trick for improving off-hand hit chance.
- A critical event can produce a useful following-swing window.
- Dual-wield accuracy and increased-damage-taken choices can change safety and usable output.

Choose the next action
- Maintain usable melee contact and watch main-hand and off-hand outcomes separately. A successful main-hand hit does not make an off-hand miss successful.
- At current levels, use learned attacks such as Heroic Strike and a conditionally available Overpower while budgeting Rage for utility. Deeper Bloodthirst belongs to later planning, not the level 30 toolkit.
- Later Flurry follows an eligible melee crit and affects following swings. It is a conditional window with remaining charges, not permanent attack-speed uptime.
- Death Wish exchanges increased damage for increased damage taken. Activate it only when the actual pull supports that risk; it is not a defensive cooldown.
- The October update removes the Heroic Strike queue trick for improving off-hand hit chance. Do not add that old interaction to a current damage estimate or opener.

Later mechanic: a critical event prepares Flurry
Click through an illustrative sequence. Conditional effects require the named spells and talents; this is not a damage, resource, threat or timing simulation.
- A melee crit occurs: This example begins with a qualifying critical event; ordinary swings are not all critical.
- Flurry becomes active: With the later talent learned, the event prepares a faster following-swing window.
- Use the affected swings: Following swings use the described benefit while its charges remain; no exact timing is simulated.
- The window is conditional: Track the actual remaining effect and next event rather than assuming permanent Flurry uptime.

Build the toolkit
Dual Wield has a level 20 learning milestone. Death Wish is a current row-five option, Flurry comes later at 35, and Bloodthirst is deeper planning at 40. Keep utility and weapon skills current alongside the damage ranks you regularly use.

Understand the upgrade
Bloodthirst’s AP-based dependency differs from ordinary weapon-derived attacks; compare the actual ability.
Main-hand/off-hand outcomes and time in range affect usable damage; a fixed reference fight does not reproduce every pull.
These examples isolate attribute relationships. They are not a prediction of full ability DPS, threat, pet damage or survivability.
| Comparison | Meaning |
|---|---|
| +7 Strength | +14 baseline melee AP before modifiers. Using the declared ordinary weapon-tooltip model, that is +1 nominal weapon DPS. |
| A 3.5-second ordinary swing | That AP contribution adds +3.5 nominal damage per swing before hit outcomes, mitigation and other effects. |
| +10 Agility | About +0.962 percentage points of weapon crit at level 30; it is not a fixed conversion at every level. |

Questing and group play
Solo dual wield can expose the cost of misses and recovery, so compare the whole pull rather than copying a raid burst. In a party, position safely and preserve useful utility even when Rage is available. The saved report’s execute timing and stance choices are future model decisions, not a mandatory sequence for every dungeon enemy.

Choose useful equipment
Compare both weapons, Strength/AP and level-dependent crit with the actual ability package. Bloodthirst has an AP-based design, so a slow weapon’s large hit is not a complete explanation of its value. The ordinary swing example isolates one contribution and does not model off-hand penalties or the full damage cycle.
