WoW Forever · Experimental setup
Frostfire Mage
Frostfire explores a Fire/Frost allocation around Frostfire Bolt. The published spell description gives the bolt both school identities and a slowing effect. That is a reason to inspect talent interactions, not permission to multiply every Fire and Frost bonus together without evidence.
Current beta play is capped at level 30. Level 60 reference models and deeper talents are identified as later planning. Client descriptions and server updates can differ.

What this build asks you to do
MythicSim publishes a future mixed-tree reference, while the current spell research places Frostfire Bolt at level 40. Heating Up is the current Fire talent name: eligible critical strikes shorten Pyroblast’s cast. The model’s Hot Streak terminology should not become a claim of a guaranteed instant Pyroblast in your current client. Explore the component choices now and keep the complete experiment for the level and access at which the bolt is actually learned.
- The experiment combines a slowing cast with selected Fire follow-ups.
- Dual-school resistance and stacking outcomes need validation; a model label is not gameplay proof.

Choose the next action
- Treat this as a later Fire/Frost experiment built around learning Frostfire Bolt. At current beta level 30, the level 40 bolt itself is not part of the ordinary toolkit.
- Use the mixed-school description to inspect relevant talents, not to multiply every Fire and Frost modifier together. The actual learned interaction needs its own evidence.
- React to an eligible Heating Up event with the shortened Pyroblast, consuming the prepared state. The reference’s older Hot Streak name does not establish a permanent instant Pyroblast.
- Keep the bolt’s slow separate from the damage talent package. A slowing effect can support positioning without proving a root or immunity to the enemy’s next action.
- When comparing the future preset, hold its gear, buffs and target assumptions constant. Change one talent or item question at a time rather than crediting the label for all possible bonuses.

Later experiment: Frostfire and Heating Up
Click through an illustrative sequence. Conditional effects require the named spells and talents; this is not a damage, resource, threat or timing simulation.
- Cast Frostfire Bolt: After it is learned, apply the mixed-school bolt and its described slowing effect.
- Eligible crit triggers Heating Up: With the Fire talent learned, an eligible critical event grants the cast-time condition.
- Follow with Pyroblast: Choose the learned follow-up with its reduced cast time; this is not a guaranteed instant spell.
- Separate the bonuses: Track slow, vulnerability and crit-related conditions separately rather than inventing a combined multiplier.
Inspect the interaction

Build the toolkit
Frostfire Bolt is reported at level 40, while the full 0/29/22 model is level 60. Until then, use the Mage levelling route and legal talent tools to plan the component choices without pretending the finished allocation is already learned.
| Level | Decision or milestone | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | Heating Up can be explored as a Fire talent. | Current beta |
| 40 | Frostfire Bolt is a later spellbook milestone. | Later planning |
| 60 | The complete mixed-tree model is future planning. | Later planning |

Understand the upgrade
Check which learned talent affects which spell; a shared school label does not prove every stacking rule.
Budget for the actual casts and confirm access to the later spell before buying a full future set.
These examples describe the pinned client baseline. Learned talents, buffs, attack type and actual encounter change the useful result; they are not universal stat weights. Spirit’s value must be compared through the full and casting regeneration your character reports, rather than a fixed Spirit-to-MP5 rule.
| Comparison | Meaning |
|---|---|
| +10 Intellect | +150 mana if existing effective Intellect is at least 20, before further modifiers; about +0.366 percentage points of spell crit at level 30. |
| +7 Intellect from 19 | The first-20 breakpoint gives +91 mana, not +105. |
| Spell/healing power | Compare the affected spell or heal and learned rank; the coefficient and useful outcome differ. |

Questing and group play
Quest now with a legal Fire or Frost package and the spells you actually know; keep the full hybrid as a later test. In a group, movement and control still matter even if the fixed reference produces an attractive result. A boss model does not show how often a dungeon pack lets you stand and finish a cast.
