WoW Forever · Healing

Holy Priest

Holy offers a wide direct-healing toolkit and talents that reward using it thoughtfully. Heal and Flash Heal solve different urgency and cost problems; Renew provides periodic recovery. Pick the response the incoming damage requires, rather than repeating the fastest button regardless of its cost.

Current beta play is capped at level 30. Level 60 reference models and deeper talents are identified as later planning. Client descriptions and server updates can differ.

What this build asks you to do

Litany of Light connects mana recovery to casting a different healing spell from the previous heal. That is a reason to understand your options, not to alternate unnecessarily when one heal is clearly right. Binding Heal can support you and an ally together. Later Prayer of Mending reacts to its own triggering events; it is a separate mechanic from a normal heal cast or a shield.

  • Different healing shapes can address different people and urgency.
  • A recovery talent should not force wasteful casts; positioning and overhealing still matter.

Choose the next action

  • Choose the heal around who may die before it lands. Heal or a learned Greater Heal can cover a larger predictable deficit; Flash Heal is useful when waiting for the slower cast is unsafe.
  • Use Binding Heal when both you and the ally need recovery. If its second health bar is already safe, compare its actual cost and useful healing with the direct alternative.
  • Let a needed change of healing spell earn Litany of Light’s return. Repeating the right heal is better than inserting an unnecessary spell solely to alternate.
  • Renew needs time to restore health; an ally about to die needs an immediate response. A useful periodic effect can continue while you attend to another target.
  • Later Prayer of Mending needs a holder and nearby eligible recipients. Its movement through the group is a separate interaction from repeatedly casting a direct heal.

Litany tracks the previous healing spell

Click through an illustrative sequence. Conditional effects require the named spells and talents; this is not a damage, resource, threat or timing simulation.

  • Begin with Heal: Use the heal that fits this ally’s need; this establishes the previous-heal example.
  • Follow with Flash Heal: With Litany learned, a different healing spell qualifies for its stated mana return.
  • Repeat only when justified: Another Flash Heal may be useful, but it is not a different previous spell in this example.
  • Make the next real choice: A needed Heal changes the spell again. The decision should follow incoming damage, not a forced alternating script.

    Understand the upgrade

Compare useful healing with the cost and urgency of the cast; a large raw heal can still be wasted.

Spiritual Guidance and other learned talents add specific relationships. Their existence does not establish a universal Spirit-to-MP5 formula.

These examples describe the pinned client baseline. Learned talents, buffs, attack type and actual encounter change the useful result; they are not universal stat weights. Spirit’s value must be compared through the full and casting regeneration your character reports, rather than a fixed Spirit-to-MP5 rule.

    Understand the upgrade
    Comparison Meaning
+10 Intellect +150 mana if existing effective Intellect is at least 20, before further modifiers; about +0.372 percentage points of spell crit at level 30.
    +7 Intellect from 19 The first-20 breakpoint gives +91 mana, not +105.
Spell/healing power Compare the affected spell or heal and learned rank; the coefficient and useful outcome differ.

    Questing and group play

For solo quests, retain affordable damage and wand tools instead of expecting healing talents to make every enemy quick. In a group, watch the next damage rather than only the current deficit. Use an appropriate party heal when several members can benefit; unnecessary healing on safe players consumes mana that the next emergency may need.

    Choose useful equipment

Compare the healing actually restored by the ranks you use with mana capacity and recovery. Spirit can support learned Holy relationships without becoming a universal MP5 number. A wand is a questing tool and does not improve a direct heal simply because it has attractive weapon DPS.
